Black Hill and Burnhouse
How to get there:
South of Ellem Lodge a forest road leads into Lodge Wood. Park 200 mtrs up the forst road in a large space on the left at NT 73523 58866.
The Walk
The walk is well sign-posted as part of the "Paths Around Duns" booklet describing 10 walks in the Duns Area which you can download from this link: http://www.scotborders.gov.uk/life/environment/outdooraccess/22591.html
Follow the path south, turn left into Burnhouses and
follow the field margin downhill through
four gateways. Turn right at the road and immediately left into the field. Walk along the field boundary to the Knock access road.
Follow the signposts through the woods to Jeanie's Wood and turn right onto Langton Edge for some wonderful views towards Duns.
When reaching the road turn right and immediately right again up the track to the radio mast. From here it is a straight path back via the windmills to Owl Wood and the car.
